Marginal conditions that suit me best. Started the slalom in nearly last place as I am not very good at anticipating the course, and I didn't know about the strange below the bouy idea until it was too late! I got into 2nd place at one point and nearly caught Mike. But I made too many mistakes and dropped the sail a few times and fell back to 3rd. Oh well, it was very enjoyable, and it felt good to be reasonably competitive. We were planing about 3/4 of the time. Mark Fowler didn't plane at all, which is unfortunate. Only a couple of races to go and I might creep into 3rd overall if I'm lucky next week! I need 2 more 2nd places, or one win, which will be tough.
